Greenland (UK) has launched Help to Buy properties at its landmark regeneration development, Ram Quarter in the London Borough of Wandsworth. The announcement means that first-time buyers can purchase a stunning new home with just a 5% deposit.

Located on the grounds of the former Young’s Brewery, Ram Quarter combines contemporary living with the site’s iconic heritage. Greenland is transforming the historic brewery to deliver spacious new apartments alongside an exciting new retail and leisure destination in the heart of Wandsworth.

A limited number of studio apartments, one and two-bedroom homes are available under the Help to Buy scheme. Using Help to Buy, buyers can secure a home with a 5% deposit supplemented by a government equity loan of 40% of the purchase price, with the remaining 55% covered by a mortgage. To qualify, the new property must be the buyer’s only property and be occupied by the buyer.

Designed by award-winning architects EPR, all homes at Ram Quarter offer five-star living including a 24-hour concierge. Residents also benefit from access to private gardens and a public promenade on the bank of the River Wandle, which for centuries had remained hidden behind the brewery walls until the redevelopment. Ram Quarter also boasts fast travel connections into central London and beyond, with Wandsworth Town station close by and the Thames Clipper service from Wandsworth Riverside. The development is also a stone’s throw from the fashionable boutiques, galleries and cafés along Old York Road and the high street shops and restaurants at Southside shopping centre.

"First-time buyers now have an exciting opportunity to live in one of London’s most vibrant and sought-after areas with just a 5% deposit. At Ram Quarter, buyers have the best of both worlds, benefiting from the contemporary design, finish and specification of a stunning newbuild development combined with the beautifully restored features of the original brewery buildings. Our first residents are already moving in to their new homes and we look forward to welcoming other first-time buyers to this bustling neighbourhood." Taotao Song, Chief Executive Officer of Greenland (UK) Investment Ltd.
