Ram Quarter again hosts Wandsworth Town Christmas Festival

Community 17 December 2025

Ram Quarter hosted Wandsworth Town's annual Christmas Festival on Saturday 6 December, welcoming visitors from South London and from further afield.

There was a full day of festive fun, including appearances from Father Christmas, the Grinch, and a life-sized polar bear.  There were also live performances, a makers' market, mouth-watering street food, fun and games, and of course the Christmas lights switch-on.

The festival took place at Ram Quarter, with the stalls and games filling Bubbling Well Square and Ram Quarter’s boulevard, against the backdrop of the historic buildings of the former Young’s brewery.  Children had the opportunity to get close to animals such as sheep and chickens at the mobile city farm.  There was also a wide selection of games available for those with a competitive spirit, including giant chess, shuffleboard, curling, and more.  Related events also took place at Southside shopping centre just over the road, where there was live entertainment from Riverside Radio which was broadcasting live from the Christmas Festival with performances from local artists, musicians and schools.

This year’s Christmas Festival was in aid of Wandsworth Foodbank.  A raffle took place to support this charity, with prizes including Kindles, a Garmin watch, must-have children's toys, and much more.

Ram Quarter has hosted Wandsworth Town's Christmas market for the last seven years in a row (excepting the first year of the pandemic), and the festival has become a fixture of the local celebrations.  The festival was delivered by Wandsworth Town Business Improvement District (BID) in partnership with Southside Wandsworth and Ram Quarter.
