Ram Quarter, Greenland's award-winning redevelopment of the former Ram Brewery site, has been chosen again to appear in the annual Open House London festival, a celebration of London's architectural heritage, its neighbourhoods and the communities that make them.
Open House will return to the capital between 12-20 September, and this 35th annual edition will feature more than 600 free events, walks, and building tours across all 33 London boroughs. Highlights of this year's festival include tours of 10 Downing Street, BBC Broadcasting House, Lloyds of London, and many of the livery halls in the City of London.
Greenland will be hosting guided tours of Ram Quarter, led by EPR Architects which designed the development. The architect will explain the preservation of the site's unique history and give an overview of the planning and design considerations. Tours will delve into the story behind the successful community that Ram Quarter has become today. See < here > for the booking page on the Open House website. To mark yet another year of being selected for the Open House festival, Greenland will launch a photography competition. Entrants will need to take and submit a single photograph of Ram Quarter which shows the development's design or architecture to striking effect. EPR Architects will judge the competition and pick the winner, who will be given credit to spend at Ram Quarter in the Sambrook's taproom. The competition will close a few days after the tour has taken place. Details on the competition will be published soon.
Ram Quarter's Open House tours have been very popular in previous years, and were fully booked within a day of release in mid-August in 2025. Additional visitors are however welcome to join the opening half-hour outdoor walk if they aren't able to secure a place officially on a tour. Tours will last an hour, and will start promptly at 11am, 12pm, 2pm and 3pm by the tree in Bubbling Well Square at Ram Quarter.
